Being nominated for an award – any award – is always a huge honour, and Boxford Farm was lucky enough to be nominated as Finalist in the ‘CSR Excellence’ category at the Fresh Awards from the Fresh Produce Consortium.
The ceremony was fantastic. Held at the Intercontinental London Park Lane Hotel, attended by four hundred guests and hosted by Sue Perkins. The ceremony represented a gathering of some of the country’s best British retailers and suppliers.
“Our industry should be proud of the high standards of excellence which are showcased by the FreshAwards”
While we didn’t win (congratulations, Blue Skies!), it was a fantastic honour to get to the Finalist category, due to Boxford Farms’ commitment to maximising its resources in a sustainable way: innovations in water saving, soil structure and fertility, pesticide reduction and more.
Nigel Jenney, Fresh Produce Consortium Chief Executive noted, “All the winners and finalists deserve recognition for their achievements. Our industry should be proud of the high standards of excellence which are showcased by the FreshAwards.”
